+ Sheryl M. Simpson-Jones, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Sheryl M. Simpson-Jones is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 25 years of experience in women’s health. She graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University in 1987, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Simpson-Jones obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Following her graduation, Dr. Simpson-Jones completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlanta Medical Center (formerly Georgia Baptist Medical Center) from 1991 to 1995. In 1997, she became a founding partner of Southern Crescent Women’s Health Specialists, PC, in Stockbridge, GA, where she currently practices office Gynecology.

Throughout her career, Dr. Simpson-Jones has held various leadership positions, including serving on the Board of Directors at Piedmont Henry Hospital and the Medical Executive Committee. She has also contributed to medical education as a Clinical Instructor for residents and medical students.

Dr. Simpson-Jones is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.

Residing in the Eagle’s Landing area of McDonough with her husband and family, Dr. Simpson-Jones enjoys traveling, snow skiing, baking, and interior design.

+ Melani Cornelius-Sanders, M.D.

Melanie Cornelius-Sanders graduated from Baylor University in 2002 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry. In 2006, she received her Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed her residency training at the University of Texas Health Sciences San Antonio. Upon graduation in 2010, Dr. Cornelius moved to Atlanta and was in practice in Riverdale, Georgia before joining Women’s Health Specialists in January 2012.

She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.Dr Cornelius was Board Certified by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2012. She currently resides in Southwest Atlanta with her husband and son and enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

+ Archana Singh, M.D.

Dr. Singh grew up in South Carolina. She attended The College of Charleston and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2004 with a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in Chemistry. She graduated in 2008 from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Singh pursued residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and completed in 2012.

She was Board Certified by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2014.  She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.Dr. Singh has specific interest in contraception, adolescent health care, minimally invasive surgery, general gynecology, and high risk obstetrics.

+ Ashley Christ, DO

Dr. Ashley Christ is board certified in OB/GYN and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2019).

She grew up in Fayetteville, GA, and received her bachelor’s degree at Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise.

She received a medical degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA (2013) and completed her OB/GYN residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA (2017).

Dr. Christ dedicated to providing respectful, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to the unique values and needs of each patient. She takes great joy in her ability to provide continuity of care and support women throughout all stages of their lives.Her clinical interests include high risk obstetrics, contraception, menopausal management, teen gynecology issues, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Christ currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and 2 kids. Her personal interests include traveling, running/peloton workouts, enjoying all the great restaurants around Atlanta, and spending time with her family.

She is a member of North American Menopause Society, International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American Medical Association.

+ Amanda Thomas, CNM

Amanda Thomas, CNM graduated with Honors from Gordon College in 2007, with an associate of Science in Nursing. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia in 2009. In 2011, she graduated from Emory University with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Nurse Midwifery. She furthered her training in Midwifery at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, in Macon, Georgia.

Amanda is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and was Board Certified in 2011. Amanda is trained to manage normal pregnancy, labor and delivery, as well as general women’s health issues across the lifespan in collaboration with a practicing physician. Amanda is the mother of three girls and resides in Butts County. She enjoys spending time with her family, scrap-booking, and cooking.
